My husband Robert (Bob) Band, to whom I was married for 52 years, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in October 2018 and was given 6-8 months to live.
He fought this disease for 18 months defying the doctors and professor at Ninewells hospital in Dundee.
His condition deteriorated and he died March 2020.
He was a councillor for Perth and Kinross council for 13 years and was deputy Provost for five years. He gave his all for his constituents until he was no longer well enough to do so.
Unfortunately due to COVID-19 we were unable as a family to have a funeral befitting him but hope to have a memorial service when the circumstances allow.
